Burr Celebrates Pi Day with Pies

Pi Day is annually celebrated on 3/14. And Burr took it to a new level on Friday.
Ten students had the opportunity to throw whipped-cream pies at principal Dan Ciccone and assistant principal Jeanne Powers during a morning assembly in the auditorium.
Their selection as pie throwers came as a reward for being the top fundraisers in a school-wide effort that has resulted in more than $20,000 being raised to convert a classroom into a student union.
Ciccone and Powers further got into the spirit by wearing ’80s attire and wigs.
More generally, Pi Day celebrates the study of mathematics, and is celebrated on March 14 because Pi is 3.14.
